Jan is the collection that embodies the harmony between classic and modern, designed for those who value both aesthetics and the sensory experience of design. With soft lines and balanced proportions, its silhouette is inspired by tradition, reinterpreted with a contemporary look that makes it as decorative as it is functional. The understated details of its structure provide a sophisticated visual identity, while also inviting comfort from the first touch, with body-hugging ergonomics and a captivating texture to the touch. The structure is made from FSC™ 100% certified solid ash wood, so it is made from materials sourced from forests that have been audited to confirm that they are managed in accordance with the FSC's rigorous social and environmental standards. Its robustness and warmth are combined with high-quality 85% recycled leather, selected for its resistance to abrasion and fire, which provides a firm seat that adapts to the body. This leather comes from a supplier certified by the Leather Working Group with the LWG Gold rating, which promotes sustainable practices and positive changes in responsible leather production. Jan goes beyond aesthetics: it is a piece designed to last over time, thanks to both the nobility of its materials and its careful construction. It includes protectors on the legs to preserve any type of surface, reaffirming its functional character without sacrificing design.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Wonderful classic
Format: Board book
This book challenges the assumption that more is better, bringing back memories of my own easy-going childhood. Ezra Keats is remarkable in his ability to create a story that so many people can relate too and the books illustrations also manage to pull you back into your own childhood memories and moments of wonder at snow. His artwork is spare yet the pictures burst with brilliant color and expression. In many of the pictures, Peter lacks facial features except his eyes, but Keats manages, with the angle of his head and the composition, to convey feeling. The text, similarly economical, is made up of just enough words to tell the story -- none of them too hard for a young reader to sound out or for a young listener to understand -- and they are vivid words used powerfully, often rhyming or repeating. The result is that kids (and parents too!) can settle into Peter's snowy world. A bonus in this sparkling story is the African-American main character -- an all-too-rare occurrence, still, in children's literature. I try to expose my child to a diverse array of characters in his story books and am still left disheartened when I return from the book store because, unfortunately there really are too few choices that are quality stories that both the adult and child can enjoy reading. This is one of those books. The story is engaging and still simple enough that a child can follow along.
