I sentori fruttati sono quelli che aprono l’ingresso al naso, ricco di richiami alla ciliegia rossa, alla prugna e alla marasca, poi completati da sottili ma gradevoli sfumature speziate. La bocca è scorrevole e fresca, ben lavorata nella trama tannica e di buona lunghezza.È una delle ultime novità enologiche in casa “Piccini”, ottenuto recuperando alcune radicate tradizioni territoriali, che nella produzione del Chianti, oltre che al sangiovese prevedevano anche l’impiego di varietà quali malvasia e trebbiano. È da queste uve che prende vita il “Mario Primo”, vinificato con una breve macerazione sulle bucce e lasciato maturare esclusivamente in acciaio. È ricco di frutto, scorrevole e senza fronzoli, ma contemporaneamente è in grado di regalare una bevuta gustosa e appagante. Diventa d’obbligo quanto a tavola ci sono le portate della cucina di terra. Per aprire il pranzo, sposatelo a un bel tagliere di salumi e affettati misti, e le soddisfazioni saranno garantite.

great but one flaw

almost everything about this pepper grinder is perfect. the glass the turny bit and how easy it to use and clean is great. its such a simple and accessible piece of kitchen utility and its pretty in its simplicity too
BUT! there is a little plastic ring that keeps popping out as i use it. the peppercorns will get stuck behind it and work it out every time i use it and it falls out into my food about every other time so i have to keep popping in and out that little plastic ring and clearing out the pepper and hoping i don't lose it or eat it.

Perfect Compact Size and Smooth Efficient Grind
I absolutely love these salt and pepper grinders! They are perfectly-sized, less cumbersome than most 12"+ sized grinders. They're wide enough to hold more than it looks like they hold, which means less refilling required. The grind is smooth and flawless - it usually only takes me one quick single-hand- motion to season my plate. I use pink Himalayan salt, and black peppercorns, and can adjust it easily to suit my or my husband's grind preferences. These grinders are pretty enough to set out on a table for dinner guests, while being quick and efficient for ourselves.

Perfect Salt & Pepper Grinders
Size: 2.5" x 5.1"
Excellent design, size and function, plus they have CLEAR PLASTIC TOPS so you can easily see how much ground salt or pepper you have to sprinkle on your food. After using my first set I knew I needed another set for different combinations of pepper corns in particular. Oh, and they come with an extra set of ceramic grinding wheels (yes, ceramic, not plastic as a few reviewers falsely claim). Very smooth operation and adjustable from fine to coarse sizes. Here's my recommendation for use. First, use quality coarse salt and whole pepper corns. Second, don't grind with lid off over hot steaming food while cooking because the steam will negatively effects the salt and pepper in the grinders, the grind quality you get, and will ultimately clog the grinders. Just grind with lid on until you get the required amount (hence the need for the clear caps), open the caps and sprinkle. Easy peasy... ☺

Nice grinder set

These are a really pretty grinder set. They work well, but after a bit they don't grind as well, and the tops try to come off. They are also NOT dishwasher safe. They will literally melt, even on the top shelf.
