This image was taken between December 20, 1948, and January 27, 1949, during which time Wilfred Thesiger stayed with Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Al Ain and joined him on a number of hunting excursions.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.

Too big for puppies

Good product. My dog is very entertained and stimulated by playing with it.

I'M AMENDING THIS REVIEW AND ADJUSTING THE RATING UPWARD! Though it took my dog a little while to adjust to how differently this ball behaves, HE LOVES IT NOW. I wish I could give you a sense of how enjoyable and comically entertaining it is to play with him using it. ORIG. REVIEW: Bought this for a little 8 lb. aggressive chewer who loves to play fetch. I initially bought the 2" Chuckit! Ultra ball previously. It is the most amazingly durable product I've found for this pup. Very firm, but not hard on his teeth. He's very quick and agile, so I thought he would like the eye-mouth coordination challenge of a ball that changes direction suddenly. I guess my only disappointment with the product is that the ball is hollow instead of having a solid core like the Ultra ball, so he doesn't enjoy chomping down on it the same way. The erratic bounce feature is entertaining, but the pup is a little skittish, so he was intimidated at first. He's warmed up to it, but not with the same enthusiasm as the Ultra ball. Having said all this, I don't fault the product for the rating I gave it. It is a quality-made product that performs as advertised. I just didn't anticipate that my dog would be less enthusiastic than I thought.
