Enhance your Ford F-150 with the Fox 883-06-181 Performance Elite 2.5 Coil-Over Reservoir Shock (Pair), designed to enhance both off-road capability and on-road comfort. These shocks address the stock truck's forward rake, providing a level ride height and improving suspension articulation for a balanced, responsive drive.
Constructed with 2.5-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum bodies, these shocks feature Type III anodization for resistance to corrosion and wear. The external reservoirs not only increase oil capacity but also eliminate dead space, reducing nitrogen ramp-up and harshness. This results in cooler shock temperatures, extended travel, and consistent damping forces across various terrains.
Each reservoir is equipped with a Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster, strategically mounted to avoid interference with aggressive tires at full lock. The DSC adjusters allow for quick adaptation to load, environment, and driving style, while the high-flow piston maintains stability across different terrains.
The Performance Elite shocks are engineered with application-specific springs, 7/8-inch hard chrome-plated steel shafts, and vehicle-specific valving to optimize performance. They also feature a redundant sealing pack system, including a main seal, wiper seal, and scraper seal, along with a rear shaft boot to protect against roost spray.
