For an additional fee we can media blast and prime the part as shown in the photo. The way to distinguish left from right is the two holes at the top of the plate. 1955 1957 backing plates are interchangeable so long as you ensure your spindle matches the plate. The difference is that 1955 1956 had 4 holes while the 1957 has two.
