View of a large stone carving at the ancient Maya site of Quirigua located near the banks of the Motagua river in the department of Izabal, Guatemala. The photograph shows a man standing beside the south face of a carved stone zoomorph known by archaeologists as Zoomorph B, as it was first described by Alfred Maudslay in his seminal publication of the Quirigua site in his multi-volume Archaeology (1889-1902). More recent scholarship dates the zoomorph (also known as Monument 2) to 9.17.10.0.0, 12 Ahau 8 Pax (Maya calendar), or A.D. 780 in the standard Western (Gregorian) calendar. Identified over the years variously as a tiger, dragon, turtle and toad, the carving is now understood by scholars to represent a supernatural crocodilian, sometimes termed the Cosmic Monster. The monument was created during the later part of the sixty-year reign of K'ak' Tiliw Chan Yopaat and marked the close of an era in the Maya calendar. It was one of a number of stelae and zoomorphs erected at Quirigua as part of a complex building programme which took place at the height of the city-state's power during the Late Classic period, and whose primary aim was to legitimate and reinforce the power of the ruler.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.

Must wind the time adjustment knob in for it to work!
Its a gorgeous watch and I love the clasp design and band material. It works if you: 1. wind the time adjustment knob with the knob IN/towards the watch 2. pull out the time adjustment knob and wind the side button to change the time or 3. shake it hard- it starts and stays moving easily after that if you are walking/swinging your hand around. I dont know how long each wind/twist lasts but winding it (knob in) will keep it moving even if its just sitting. Options 2 or 3 only keep it moving temporarily. The band and clasp are really smooth and comfortable. The watch itself isnt too thick and the band is extremely easy to adjust to a custom fit (screwdriver and instructions included for adjusting the clasp location). Its really comfortable for an all day wear, is subtle for everyday wear but classy when looked at up close. For under $35 this is a gorgeous, simple watch and significantly cheaper than most of the others I've looked at. Havent tested under water yet though

Make sure the clasp is suitable for the environment you will be wearing it in
Color: G9901: Black band & Black dial
I don't know if I didn't look closely at the clasp pick, or if I just didn't see one, but the clasp is a bit weakly designed for everyday wear. It's come unclasped twice in the 2 weeks I've been wearing it
