Master Precision Template Routing with Industrial-Grade Top-Bearing Control

The Freud 50-122 Top Bearing Flush Trim Bit is the definitive tool for woodworkers who prioritize visibility and accuracy during template and pattern routing. Unlike standard trim bits, the top-mounted ball bearing allows you to place your pattern or template on top of the workpiece, providing a clear line of sight for intricate tasks like routing sign lettering, custom cabinetry, and musical instrument building. Engineered for versatility, this bit excels at grooving or trimming out workpieces in handheld or table-mounted router applications, delivering a glass-smooth finish in hardwood, softwood, plywood, and wood composites.

Constructed with Freud's high-density TiCo™ Carbide, the 50-122 is built for industrial endurance and long-lasting sharpness. To protect your investment, the bit is finished with a non-stick Perma-SHIELD® Coating, which reduces friction and prevents heat buildup during heavy-duty operations. This specialized coating also minimizes resin "pitch" accumulation and protects the bit from corrosion, ensuring consistent performance through miles of routing. With its heavy-duty 1/2" shank and balanced 2-cutter design, this bit provides the stability required for deep trimming in thick stock without the risk of chatter.

Key Features

  • Superior Template Control: Top-mounted bearing is ideal for following templates or patterns placed on top of the workpiece.
  • Broad Material Compatibility: Precision-ground carbide cuts all composition materials, plywoods, hardwoods, and softwoods.
  • Perma-SHIELD® Technology: High-performance coating reduces friction, heat, and resin buildup for extended tool life.
  • Industrial Stability: Large 1/2" shank minimizes vibration and provides a secure fit in high-horsepower routers.
  • Two-Cutter Design: Balanced twin flutes provide a cleaner edge and faster material removal in thick stock.
  • Multi-Machine Versatility: Engineered for peak performance in both hand-held and table-mounted router setups.

Pro-Tip: When routing deep templates, the 1-1/2" cutting height allows you to trim thick stock in fewer passes. To maximize the life of your top bearing, ensure your template is thick enough for the bearing to ride securely against the center of the edge. For best results, dial your router speed down to match the bit's 18,000 RPM maximum—large diameter bits work more safely and produce cleaner cuts at lower speeds.

Excellent
Format: Paperback
As a second-year cardiology fellow, I used to get very confused with hemodynamics during my cath and CCU rotations. This book is a gem, it is clear and logically written, has great explanations of waves and great illustrations. The constrictive pericarditis, valvular disease, and FFR chapters are impressive with echocardiographic and physiologic correlations. I actually liked everything I read, like the nice differentiation between the pressure tracings of various chambers. Some of it requires multiple reads but it is worth it. I realized that I had missed a great deal of the basic understanding of pressure tracing configuration, wedge pressure, shunts. There are also over 50 cases in a test-answer format probably covering and reviewing most hemodynamic topics. It is like 2 books in 1.

AMAZING BOOK!!!!!! WOW!!! everything you need to know about hemodynamics. This book explains the concepts with graphing, images. It also summarizes the key points. I wish I have read that book sooner. I could not believe it that in 1 book I found all the information I needed for the cardiology boards and my daily practice. Thank you o ugh Dr. Hanna for taking the time to write this book. Much Thanks!!!!

A welcome addition to training in hemodynamics
Format: Paperback
Purchased this book for my husband, the director of the Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Program at a small college. He has been very pleased with the book, calling it a long-overdue addition to the field. It's very helpful in training technologists and others working in Cardiac Cath Labs to recognize hemodynamic waveforms and do calculations. It offers a lot of practice questions in addition to explanations.

Clear Concise
Format: Paperback
I like the way that this book is laid out. Rather than long drawn out droning chapters it is split into shorter more specific sections. The graphics are plenty big. The case examples and guided questions are useful in reinforcing the knowledge. A good resource for any new CVT or CVT student.
