The 116598RBOW is a true rarity, that launched in the 1980s when Rolex utilized the ultimate luxury tool watch, the Cosmograph Daytona, as a vehicle for precious gemstone experimentation. The 116598RBOW comes with a 40mm yellow gold case that has a screw-down case back, a scratch-resistant sapphire and a winding crown. The bezel is adorned with 36 rainbow-hued sapphires and 56 diamonds on the lugs and crown guards. The dial has a black background with diamond-set hour markers, three yellow gold sub-dials, and hands. The 116598RBOW is powered by the self-winding 4130 calibers with -2/+2 sec/day precision, chronograph functionality and a power reserve of 72 hours. The luxurious case is paired with a yellow gold oyster bracelet that has a fold-over clasp. It has a water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet).
