The original Neat Petite speaker was developed by Bob Surgeoner back in the late 1980s and instantly rewrote the rule book for performance achievable from such a compact design. This iconic speaker was ever present in the Neat Acoustics lineup until 2016. In 2021 Neat Acoustics launched a limited-edition 30th Anniversary Edition ‘Petite 30’ which was an instant hit and with such strong demand Neat decided to launch a new, permanent addition to the Petite lineup - the ‘Petite Classic’.

The Petit Classic faithfully follows the original Petite's dimensions and contours, now enhanced with the superior drive units from the Petite 30 and a redesigned crossover network.

Each component has been meticulously selected to preserve NEAT’s signature sound. The tweeter features an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) for exceptional precision and dynamics, while the bass/midrange is powered by a mineral-filled 150mm polypropylene cone, delivering remarkable transient response and ultra-low distortion. The crossover network utilises low-loss air core inductors as well as high-voltage polypropylene capacitors and resistors to ensure optimal performance.

Despite its compact size, the Petite Classic offers breathtakingly lifelike imaging, an outstanding midrange, and striking dynamics—all while capturing the musical essence and coherence of the original Petite.
