In-line Solar Fuse Connector for Safe and Reliable PV System Protection

Integrated Overcurrent Protection for Solar Arrays

The Exotronic In-line Solar Fuse Connector combines a standard Ø 4 mm solar connector with a built-in fuse, providing essential overcurrent protection for individual panel strings or parallel connections. This design helps prevent damage to solar panels and wiring in the event of a fault, reducing the risk of fire and equipment failure. With a rated current of 15A, it is suited to a wide range of photovoltaic installations, from small caravan solar systems to larger off-grid arrays.

Engineered for Harsh Australian Conditions

Built to perform in demanding environments, this connector features an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating when mated, ensuring reliable operation even in heavy rain or dusty outback settings. The PC/PPO insulation material is UV-resistant and carries a UL94-V0 flame class rating, adding an extra layer of safety. A wide operating temperature range of –40°C to +90°C (with an upper limit of +105°C) means it can handle extreme heat and cold without compromising performance.

Secure Connection with Snap-in Locking

The snap-in locking system ensures a firm, vibration-resistant connection that won't loosen over time, critical for mobile applications such as caravans, 4WDs, and marine solar setups. Tinned copper contacts with a low contact resistance of 0.5 mΩ minimise power loss, while the 1000V DC (IEC) voltage rating makes it suitable for high-voltage series strings. The connector also meets salt mist spray test severity 5 (IEC 60068-2-52), confirming its suitability for coastal and marine environments.

Key Features

  • Integrated fuse protection rated at 15A for overcurrent safety
  • IP67 waterproof and dustproof when mated for reliable outdoor use
  • 1000V DC rated for compatibility with high-voltage solar arrays
  • Snap-in locking prevents accidental disconnection
  • Wide temperature range from –40°C to +90°C for extreme climates
  • Salt mist resistant (severity 5) ideal for marine and coastal installations
  • Flame class UL94-V0 insulation for enhanced fire safety
  • Low contact resistance (0.5 mΩ) for efficient energy transfer
  • Standard Ø 4 mm connector system for broad compatibility

Simple Integration into Any Solar Setup

With its plug-and-play design, the Exotronic In-line Solar Fuse Connector installs quickly between solar panels and the rest of the system, requiring no special tools. The compact, cylindrical housing (approximately 131 mm long and 18.8 mm in diameter) fits neatly into cable runs without adding bulk. An embossed safety warning on the housing reminds users not to disconnect under load, promoting safe operation.

Whether you are building a DIY off-grid system, upgrading a caravan solar array, or maintaining a professional PV installation, this fused connector offers a straightforward way to improve system safety and reliability. It helps protect your investment by isolating faults before they can cause extensive damage.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
