Corals cannot utilize the full sun spectrum. Light above 480 nm (greens, yellows, reds) can potentially harm the corals as it generates excess heat, promotes toxic oxygen radicals, and damages the symbiotic Zooxanthellae algae.
It is uniquely designed with light intensity and spectrum that are 100% utilized by corals, using optimal spectrum for coral growth and colour expression between 380 and 480.
The ReefLED G2 provides ideal PAR values throughout the aquarium, without hotspots or areas with insufficient light for coral growth.
