Reversible plaid, 160 x 120 cm, one side is a patchwork of wool fabrics, one side is wax printed cotton with a blue and black pattern.

This plaid with orange piping is number 34 of a limited series of 50.

From the collaboration between Talking Hands and isOnAir comes "50 Re/Plaids", a series of 50 limited-edition blankets created for our brand is<again.

Ours is a warm 160 x 120 cm blanket to wrap yourself in on the sofa at home or to keep on the terrace to enjoy the pleasure of being outdoors at (almost) any temperature.

Each plaid is double-sided, one side is the result of the assembly of different parts of wool fabric coming from the "Lanificio Paoletti dal 1795", and the other side is printed cotton with geometric Wax Print patterns from the Ivorian UNIWAX.

50 Re/Plaids is a project that celebrates diversity. No two blankets are alike.

Talking Hands is a permanent laboratory of design and social innovation.
Born in 2016, Talking Hands encourages participants to use design and manual activity as a form of narrating their biographies, places of origin, journeys made, and dreams.

The waste of resources we avoided is not only about how much material was saved from the landfill but also how much was saved compared to using newly produced wool.

Engineer3d's analysis, carried out using LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology, shows that the following have been avoided:

• The emission of 930 kg CO2, equivalent to 3580 km of driving;
• The consumption of 380 000 liters of water, equal to 1.5M glasses of water or 470 days of drinking water;
• The use of 400 kWh of energy produced from fossil fuel.

What Merwin Thought Represented Him Best
Format: Paperback
If one volume could sum up adequately W.S. Merwin's artistic development and illustrate his place in American literature with some justice, "Migration" does the job. At least as importantly, it gives us the poet's own opinion on the poems for which he might want to be remembered, much as Nathaniel Tarn inspired Pablo Neruda to do in the selection of Neruda's poems that Tarn oversaw. I bought "Migration" at roughly the same time as and and cross-referenced his selection from those titles in "Migration" against the whole. While I still have one or two favorites that did not make the cut, I found the choices he made consistently better-inspired and more timeless than the poems that surrounded them (though overall Merwin has remained a consistent and astonishingly fine craftsman throughout his career). For those who want to go further back than Merwin's more recent books for Copper Canyon Press should not be disappointed.

ws merwin's collected poems
Format: Hardcover
it's a hardback and it's in great condition. apparently it's a library book that has been in more than one sale, at one point someone had put a price of fifty cents on it. it's sad that arguably one of the better modern writers did not find a permanent home but that meant a great deal for me. also, i hope the reason the book started its journey wasn't because the library folded but that might explain why the book left the shelves to begin with.

Better than Expected
Format: Paperback
Though the title impied there were new poems in this volume, I found some of my favorites, but didn't notice any new ones. Never mind, they are wonderful, and I liked this book so much, I purchased a copy for a friend and published poet, who's poet in the schools, Grace Grafton, who is familiar with Merwin's writing. That made both of us happy. On a practical level, it is easier to schlep a single volume with you than three of four,when what you want is 'La crême de la crême.' Makes a welcome addition to any collection, a great gift to introduce Merwin, and a pleasure to read the smooth, ariculate poetry that is food for the soul. Antoinette Constable
