Артем Чех знову написав про війну — і знову не про ту. Тобто не про цю. Тому, з одного боку, 'Song of the Open Road' можна розглядати як жанрово-стилістичну забавку, пригодницько-історичну гру в Америку. Колишній кріпак з українського села у складі Російської імперії, опинившись в епіцентрі американської трагедії, врешті-решт стає втіленням американської мрії. Але, з другого — серйознішого — боку, відкритий шлях головного героя — цей шлях геть від Москви, шлях крізь війну до свободи, шлях від росіянина в пролозі до українця в епілозі. А ще з якогось боку, легко собі уявити знятий за мотивами цього роману ігровий фільм. Чорно-білий фільм про сповнену символічних значень подорож зі Сходу на Захід, до самого себе і свого вічного дому. І саундтрек: слова Волта Вітмена, музика Ніла Янга.

I bought a set of these toys for my 30 lb black labs (mixed breed). They are normally very aggressive chewers, and as a result, these dogs are difficult to find toys for. They destroy pretty much everything except for those very strong rubber toys which are not as much fun for them to play with. So far, these toys have lasted us 2 days and counting which is quite an accomplishment considering their soft toys typically last about 10 min. or so before they start eating the stuffing and pull the squeakers out. Between the plastic noises from the tenticles and the squeakers my dogs have just been having the time of their lives. We have to confiscate them at bedtime so we can sleep! Even though I'm positive these toys will not hold up for much longer because of their chewing habits, it was worth the money to splurge on something fun for them to get so excited to play with. I intend to replace them occasionally as long as we continue getting at least a couple days of use out of them. If your dogs are less aggressive chewers then you should definitely give this toy a try!
