Powering the XV1600 is an enormous 1,600cc air-cooled V-twin pushrod engine, housed within an elongated and low chassis. This OHV engine generates an impressive 46.3kW (62.6PS) of power at 4,000rpm and is equipped with an electric starter.
The front suspension of this magnificent motorcycle comprises telescopic forks, while the rear boasts a swinging arm monocross setup. It's no wonder that this stunning bike was crowned the "1999 Cruiser Bike of the Year" by Cruising Rider Magazine, thanks to its exceptional combination of form and function.
In Tamiya's 1/12 Motorcycle Series, they have meticulously recreated the Road Star with remarkable attention to detail. With an overall length of 208mm, width of 89mm, and height of 100mm, this model captures the essence of the original motorcycle. The assembly process is a captivating experience, incorporating real screws and two types of metal plated parts. From the delicate fins of the air-cooled engine to the intricately designed spoke wheels and the slender brake and clutch lines, every element of this motorcycle masterpiece contributes to its authenticity.
The kit includes two variations of tank emblems, one representing the Japanese and American "Road Star" and another for the European "Wild Star." Additionally, various decals for stripes and meters are provided to further enhance the realism of this genuine kit. A transparent display stand is also included, allowing you to showcase your finished model with pride.
