Festive Flag Cichlid Mesonauta Festivus 5cmOverview: The Festive Flag Cichlid, scientifically known as Mesonauta festivus, is a stunning freshwater fish that brings a splash of color and activity to any aquarium. Renowned for their striking appearance, these cichlids feature a variety of colors, with bodies that can display hues of yellow, red, and green, accented with distinctive black vertical stripes. They grow to an average size of 4-6 inches, making them a manageable size for many home aquariums.
Origin: Native to the vast waterways of South America, specifically the Amazon River basin, the Festive Flag Cichlid thrives in slow-moving or standing waters with plenty of vegetation. They are adaptable fish that can tolerate a range of environments, but they do best in conditions that mimic their natural habitat.
Feeding: Festive Flag Cichlids are omnivores with a preference for a varied diet. In the aquarium, they should be fed a mix of high-quality cichlid pellets or flakes, along with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. Vegetable supplements can also be included to ensure a balanced diet. Regular feeding, combined with a variety of food sources, will help maintain their vibrant colors and overall health.
Tank Mates: These cichlids are generally peaceful but can display territorial behavior, especially during breeding. Suitable tank mates include similarly sized, peaceful fish such as tetras, barbs, and other South American cichlids. It's essential to avoid overly aggressive species that may bully or stress the Festive Flag Cichlids.
Aggression: Mesonauta festivus exhibits low to moderate aggression levels, mainly towards conspecifics or during breeding. Providing ample space, hiding spots, and visual barriers in the aquarium can help minimize aggressive interactions and establish a harmonious community tank.
Experience Level: Festive Flag Cichlids are suitable for intermediate aquarists. They require a bit more attention to water quality and diet than some beginner species but are generally hardy and forgiving of minor mistakes. Enthusiasts who have some experience with maintaining aquariums will find these cichlids a rewarding addition.
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 75-84°F (24-29°C)
- pH: 6.0-7.5
- Hardness: 5-12 dGH
- Water changes: Regular, to maintain high water quality and reduce nitrates.

Great product for the $$$$
This edger is awesome. Easy to put together. Intuitive. I put it together inside of 10 minutes. Shifted the edger "guide" down, and went to work. This corded electric model is WAYYY cheaper than the battery powered (or gas powered) models, and is absolutely up to the task. Lightweight and maneuverable. Quiet. Easy to store. The motor got a little "bound" when I tried to edge too fast, but the manual had clearly warned me on this - to back up, let the blade get back up to speed, and then edge again. The lawn edges are now straight, well-defined, and immaculate.

Great but could be Epic
If you’re looking for a solid edger for sidewalks and driveways, this is a great tool. It’s powerful, well-built, easy to assemble, and simple to use. For edging, I would definitely recommend it.
However, I wouldn’t recommend it as a true trencher. I bought it for both purposes but mainly needed it for trenching. The maximum cutting depth is only about 1.5 inches, which isn’t deep enough for most garden borders or running cable. In my opinion, a real trencher should be able to reach at least 3 inches deep.
The limitation comes down to the blade size and guard design. WORX could improve this model with a larger blade guard and additional wheel depth settings. If they released a version capable of 3–3.25 inch trenching depth, it would really stand out in the market.
Overall, it’s an excellent edger, just not a true trencher.

Works Great!
Much quieter than I was expecting. Lawn had needed this for years, I regained 6"-10" of driveway/sidewalk back. Makes the rest of the neighborhood look bad LOL Only the cleaning up wore me out, but it should be much easier next time.

Very light and effective trimmer
Style: 20V String Trimmer Kit
I’m very well designed trimmer that cuts through grass and weeds very easily. The battery lasts about 45 minutes. It’s fairly light and easy to use. I think it’s also a pretty good value.
