Life always offers us the opportunity to begin anew. In fact, sometimes making a new start is exactly what we need even though it may seem daunting or downright frightening. Our New Opportunities Pure Essential Oil Aromatherapy Blend may be the perfect solution to help you gain the necessary strength and courage to leap into a new phase of life while setting the stage for all types of new opportunities, and prospects. Made with lemongrass, birch, parsley, cypress, and yarrow, our New opportunities pure essential oil blend contains the ideal ingredients to help you gain a new perspective and let go of old ideas and convictions that are no longer serving you.  It’s time to open the door and welcome in a world of new possibilities.  New Opportunities Essential Oil Blend comes in a 10 ml Euro dropper. It’s 100% pure, undiluted and all natural.

The ingredients in our New Opportunities Essential Oil Aromatherapy Blend have a long history of being associated with new beginnings, renewal, healing and transformation. Birch, for example, has long been linked with both renewal and purification. In Celtic mythology, the birth often symbolized regeneration and new beginnings. For centuries, it was honored during Samhain the ancient pagan festival of winter. Birch is a wonderful essential oil as it can aid you in your ability to tap into your own inner strength. Like frankincense, it can help you break ties with the past, particularly of generational trauma. It can be very effective at helping focus one’s thoughts and energy. In folk magic, birch is considered to be protective. It is often used in work in which courage and self-confidence are needed.

Lemongrass is the perfect essential oil to use when one needs to shift the energy around them. In folk magic, it is thought to bring in good luck and cast out negative energy. It was once believed to chase snakes away. It is also commonly used for purification and to cleanse an environment of negativity. The emotional benefits of lemongrass may help you with a lack of confidence, fear and negative emotions. It is also considered to be a wonderful aid in divination. With that being said, it may certainly help you connect to your own intuition. Thus, it serves as a wonderful tool to help you identify the actions you need to take to meet your goals.

Although Cypress historically has been associated with death, mourning and the underworld, Cypress was also revered for its ability to aid in regeneration, particularly when it comes to one’s inner spirit. It’s a wonderful oil to use while breaking from the past and starting anew.  The ancient Phoenicians often planted the tree near graves to ensure a prosperous eternal life for the deceased.  Even today, they continue to be planted near one’s home to ensure a healthy and prosperous household. In folk magic, Cypress is commonly used for longevity, healing, wealth and luck.  In aromatherapy, cypress is frequently used for inner strength and is wonderful to use during transitions of any kind. It is believed to be a powerful aid when confronted with emotional loss and the need to let go.

For centuries, yarrow has been considered an herb of healing. Yarrow, named after the Greek god, Achilles, was thought to enable Achilles to heal wounds on the battlefield. Yarrow is a wonderful oil to use for healing the wounds of the past that tend to prevent one from moving forward and identifying new opportunities. Like lemongrass, yarrow is a powerful aid for divination. In fact, the ancient I Ching was originally tossed with the stalks of yarrow.  Yarrow is also believed to be protective, particularly from those who wish to hold you back. Yarrow is considered to be very effective at helping to identify a new perspective and way of being. It is believed to help balance conflicting feelings and emotions. It is also believed to ease mental upsets and feelings of being overwhelmed. It is considered to be one of the more popular essential oils to use during transitions and new beginnings.

Finally, let’s not forget parsley! Parsley has long been associated with Passover, the Jewish holiday that venerates the emancipation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. As a bitter herb, parsley symbolizes the pain and tears once endured by the captive Israelites. It encourages one to look at their own inner prisons such as unhealthy relationship or negative beliefs that may be self- destructive or harmful. However, in ancient Greece, was used for victory wreaths at the Nemean and Isthmian games. It would appear that parsley would be quite effective for letting go of old behaviors in lieu of new ones that could lead to successful endeavors. In folk magic, parsley is often used for passion, protection and strength.

Entertaining
Format: Kindle
This is a fun book that includes a house swap such as you have seen in the movie Holiday. Tatum and Eleanor both go through things personally and need a change so they switch houses which are in different towns. One goes to a small town, whereas one is in the Hollywood area. It’s really fun to see how both characters adjust to being in different places and how it really makes them think about their own lives while they each by themselves falling for someone. There is wonderful banter throughout the book and all of the side characters are entertaining as well. It’s a fun book.

Not for me
Format: Paperback
I’ll start off by saying I’m definitely not the target audience for this book yet I tried not to let that color my review any. The dual main characters are interesting in their own ways yet I didn’t find myself invested in the outcome.

The Holliday but make it sapphic
Format: Paperback
Ok, sapphic twist on The Holiday was just what I needed. I loved all the sweet little details between the couples and all the family drama. June and Tatum swap homes with Eleanor and leave their small town for a big adventure in New York, hoping to sell June's perfume business. Tatum needs to escape her family, and wouldn't you know it, she has always had a huge crush on June. Eleanor needs to get out of New York stat when she finds out her fling is actually engaged, she gets fired from her job, and she is just an all-around mess. She jumps at the chance to swap homes and for a girl with a lot of romantic issues, meeting Tatum's sibling Carson is quite the distraction. In New York, Eleanor's neighbor Dawn is an old famous actress, and she was one of my favorite characters. She was full of life but needed to be reminded how much of a badass she is. June and Tatum are able to get her to be social while she forces them to evaluate what is holding them back. My second favorite character is Carson. The romance between them and Eleanor was so swoony, and I felt like they are the kind of person you want to orbit because being near them would make you happy. I think them as a couple was the best part of the book, and the way Eleanor gets to join in on the crazy family reunion Tatum has to skip out on. Tatum was probably the hardest character for me to love. They felt extremely juvenile for their age, and I kept thinking she was 18-20, only to be reminded she was an adult almost in their 30s. I also felt a little less invested in her love story with June and while I liked them both fine, Carson and Eleanor were top tier for me. If you are looking for a romcom with heart, this one will check those boxes.

this book made a "graphic novel" fan of me
Format: Hardcover
I'm not generally a fan of "graphic novels" (what do you call a graphic biography?), but I purchased this one after attending a bookstore talk with author Guy Delisle. Wow! The visual format is an ideal medium to provide the technological context for Muybridge's story. I was already well familiar with his work and contributions, thanks to Rebecca Solnit's, "River of Shadows." But Delisle does a brilliant and charming job of rendering the evolution of photography and its impact on society. I hope Delisle takes on more historic subjects in the future.

No texture issues
Scent: Hair Styler (1 Pack)
I’ve never been one to like hair product because I don’t like how they make my hair feel “crunchy” or overly stiff. However, this kind provides a nice, loose hold that doesn’t make my hair feel weird. If you can spare the extra few dollars and don’t need a strong hold, I would recommend this!
