Our Elephant sculpture is a mainstay in our collectable Animal glass art product line.
Acting as a small addition to the house, or providing a centrepiece which is sure to draw attention from visitors, due to its beauty and flawless outline.
The glass elephant is an intricate product to make, sculpting the glass in one continuous motion to create the elegant shape of the ornament.
The glass is gathered and then meticulously pulled in a timing masterpiece, whilst fighting the weight of gravity. First the ears and body are shaped, which then leaves the trunk to be pulled and stretched.
Where the glass gets thinner, when pulled, it begins cooling down much faster meaning the final shaping of the trunk can be the most difficult. However the results are beautiful creating this stunning glass elephant paperweight.
This product is handblown in our seaside studio in Weymouth, Dorset by master glass blower Stuart Wiltshire.
