How it works
Park out front, walk in, quick chat with our team about coat condition and any sensitivities.
Warm water bath, two shampoos if needed, then a careful blow dry. Most dogs settle quickly.
Nails, ears, paw and sanitary trim, full brush out. Time depends on coat and temperament.
We text when ready. You get an honest update on how it went and any aftercare worth knowing.
Most short coat grooms take between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Bigger dogs, double coats or anxious dogs need a bit longer. We'd rather take the time and do it properly than rush.

We price by your dog's size, coat type and condition. Pick your size below. If you're between sizes, choose the larger one. Final price is confirmed at check-in.

First time at Pets Juicy?
Most new dogs settle within ten minutes. We don't crate, we don't rush, and we don't restrain dogs in ways that make them panic. If your dog needs a slower introduction, tell us at booking and we'll plan the visit around it. Nervous dogs, rescue dogs and seniors get extra patience as standard, not as a paid add-on.
Puppies under six months are better suited to our Puppy Introduction Groom, which is shorter and built around confidence-building rather than a full salon process.
A note on matting. Please tell us at booking if your dog has matting, even if it's mild. Matted coats need extra time, and severe matting may need a humane reset clip rather than dematting (pulling on tight knots is painful and we won't do it). We'll always explain what's needed before we start, and confirm any extra cost up front.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a short coat groom take?
Usually 90 minutes to 2 hours. We work at the dog's pace, so very nervous dogs or thicker double coats can take longer. We'll text you a heads up if your dog needs a bit more time.
What products do you use?
Melanie Newman, an Australian salon range. Gentle, plant-based, biodegradable and made for sensitive skin. We have specific shampoos for medicated, deshedding and conditioning needs.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, ideally. Weekends and school holidays book out fastest. Online booking shows live availability and you can pay as you book.
My dog gets nervous. Can you handle that?
Yes. Tell us when you book so we can allow extra settling time. Our studio is calm and quiet, we don't use harsh restraint, and we stop if a dog becomes genuinely distressed and talk you through next steps.
What if my dog has fleas or ticks?
Let us know at booking. We do a flea and tick bath as an add-on. If we find ticks during the groom we remove them carefully and let you know at pickup so you can talk to your vet about preventatives.
Can I stay and watch?
Most dogs settle better when their human leaves, so we don't recommend it for full grooms. For a first puppy visit you're welcome to come in and meet the team before drop-off.
Do you offer hand stripping?
No. We're a clipper and scissor salon. If your breed is traditionally hand-stripped (Schnauzers, Westies, terriers) we'll discuss the best clip alternative with you at check-in.
How often should I book a groom?
Short-coated dogs do well with a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks, with a wash in between if they get muddy or beachy. We can put a regular slot on the calendar for you if that helps.
Can I use Afterpay?
Yes. Choose Afterpay at checkout and split the cost across four fortnightly payments, interest free.
