Aeroflow Triple EFI Pump Compact Surge Tank - Black

These Aeroflow Performance Surge Tanks are designed to prevent starving the fuel pump/s by increasing the fueling capability of the fuel system. It is usually installed in vehicles that potentially can experience fuel starvation due to fuel sloshing around in an inadequately baffled fuel tank/cell. While this can occur in any vehicle when the tank is not fully filled, it is more frequent in vehicles subject to violent changes in directions such as autocross, off-road, drag racing and other types of racing that involve high g-force. The primary fuel pump in the vehicle's main fuel tank will no longer directly feed the engine. Instead, the internal fuel pump will now be used to fill and maintain the level of fuel in the surge tank itself. Using a surge tank will now require new external fuel pump/s to be installed after the tank to supply fuel to the engine.

These round triple pump EFI surge tanks are designed to work with any 40mm diameter fuel pumps with internal check valves such as AF49-1057 or AF49-1242 (Sold Separately). These smart tanks are designed to have fuel pumps submerged in fuel for a quieter operation and longer life of the fuel pump.

Utilizing a billet 40mm pump hanger that can hold up to 3 x 40mm pumps which can be capable of handling 1000hp. With a built-in fuel manifold chamber for better pressure equalization and no extra couplers. This top hat has a large -10AN male for the feed, 3 x -8ORB Ports for return/overflow, two electrical terminal bulkheads with three wires per bulkhead to allow the fuel pumps to be staged and wired individually. The tank itself is robotically TIG welded with 2.5mm thick aluminium and features 6 x M8 mounting holes on three separate feet welded into the bottom of the tank for mounting.

The tank is available in either Polished or Black anodized finishes. Black anodized is recommended for Ethanol or Methanol fuel systems.
