Professional pure sine wave power for Australian 230V appliances

Designed for dependable off grid and mobile power, the Victron Phoenix inverter with VE.Direct converts 12V DC from your house battery system into stable 230V AC suitable for Australian and New Zealand plug loads. It is a practical choice for caravans, 4WD touring, marine electrical systems, service vehicles, and remote cabins where power quality, low standby draw, and clear fault information matter.

Unlike modified sine wave inverters that can cause audible noise, extra heat, or compatibility issues with sensitive equipment, this unit produces a pure sine wave output that better suits electronics such as chargers, laptops, networking gear, CPAP devices, and many modern appliances. The result is cleaner power delivery with fewer surprises when you plug in the devices you rely on.

Handles real world loads with high surge capability

Many loads draw a brief start up surge that is well above their running wattage. This inverter is engineered with a robust topology and high peak power capability to help start challenging loads such as chargers, laptops, LED lighting power supplies, and small power tools. For installers and experienced users, this reduces the risk of nuisance shutdowns and makes system sizing more forgiving when loads vary.

Energy aware operation with configurable ECO mode

In battery powered systems, idle consumption adds up. ECO mode helps minimise wasted energy by reducing power draw when the connected load is low, then quickly returning to normal operation when demand increases. Sensitivity and timing can be adjusted to suit your application, whether you are supporting always on standby loads or intermittent tool use.

Monitoring and configuration via VE.Direct

The integrated VE.Direct port enables monitoring and configuration using compatible Victron interfaces such as a computer connection or an optional Bluetooth dongle. This makes it easier to match inverter behaviour to your battery chemistry and operating preferences, including setting low voltage alarms, cut off and restart thresholds, and other key parameters. It is also a useful diagnostic tool for tracking input and output conditions, load level, and alarms during commissioning and troubleshooting.

Designed for safer, simpler installation

Installation is straightforward with secure screw terminal DC connections and a built in remote on off input for convenient control from a switch panel. The enclosure is intended for indoor or protected mounting locations and incorporates multiple electronic protections to help safeguard the inverter and connected equipment under fault conditions such as overload, short circuit, over temperature, and abnormal battery voltage.

Key features

  • Pure sine wave inverter output for cleaner, more compatible 230V AC power
  • 900W peak power support for motor start and other surge loads
  • VE.Direct communications for monitoring, configuration, and fault visibility
  • Configurable ECO mode to reduce consumption when loads are minimal
  • Remote on off capability for integrated system control
  • Fan assisted cooling with thermal protection for demanding Australian conditions

Ready to power your caravan, boat, or off grid cabin? Install this inverter close to your battery bank with appropriately sized cabling and protection, then connect your 230V appliances and monitor performance via VE.Direct for a clean, controlled off grid AC supply.

Dynamic low battery cut off is fully configurable when used with an optional Bluetooth dongle, helping protect battery health under varying loads and reducing nuisance shutdowns during high current surges.

Building something wonderful out of the broken pieces
Format: Hardcover
Meg Eden Kuyatt has done it again. I am a big fan of novel in verse, and this author is one reason why. The poetry delivers character, setting, and story in a clear, believable voice. The protagonist, V, is a middle school girl full of feelings, celebrating her difference while fighting for her place in the wonderland of neurotypicals. V introduces herself in vibrant socks that say “I am strange and wonderful.” And with that, we are off. V is reluctantly spending the summer with her grandma Jojo in the pristine white house that has been in her family for generations. History is definitely living here. The house is a character itself (and a metaphor). I love that V’s cousin Cat creates assemblages, an art form I was not familiar with. Cat describes it as taking discarded, broken stuff and turning it into something beautiful (another metaphor). There is a lot going on here and a satisfying resolution brought on by a heaping dose of empathy. Highly recommend for the suggested audience (juvenile fiction, grades 3-7), their teachers, and families with neurodivergence.

Emotionally messy relationships with unreliable narrators
Format: Hardcover
Meg Eden Kuyatt guides us through a beautifully lyrical journey into the life of V, an autistic girl forced to spend the summer with her overbearing grandmother. The story is often more metaphorical than literal, which works well thematically since it revolves around emotionally messy relationships with unreliable narrators, making the details of both the past and present difficult to pin down. Overall, a great read that will be appreciated by both kids and adults looking for mature, nuanced stories about dysfunctional families and the autistic experience.
