Each chess piece in this set has been expertly turned from solid boxwood. The black pieces have been 'ebonised' - a very convincing process that gives them the look of real ebony, without the same price tag. Each piece is weighted for perfect balance and felted on the base.

Produced by the highly reputable chessboard artisan Rechapados Ferrer of Spain, this superbly presented wooden chessboard also represents great value for money. Quality walnut and maple veneered construction using modern fabrication techniques produces a board with sharp lines, fastidious detailing and a clean modern outline. The board is compact in design but offers oversized playing squares for its dimensions, thus allowing us to combine it with these chessmen.
