Galvan Rush Light Fly Reel — Rugged, Reliable, and Built in the USA
The Galvan Rush Light is the reel that earns its keep. Originally created in 2005, the Rush Series quickly built a following among discerning anglers, and in 2012 Galvan refined it: they reduced the weight, sharpened the look, and gave it features from the revered OB reel, including an altered porting pattern on the spool face and an opened-up frame with Galvan's recognized open-back, tri-spoke design.
What those changes did not touch is the ruggedness. Durable construction is the most prominent feature of the Rush Light — it can take one beating after another and keep performing with flawless reliability. Whether it is the one reel you buy for life, the reel you hand clients as a guide, or the reel in the quiver of the hardest-core anglers, the Rush Light does not disappoint in form or function.
The value is real, too. By minimizing the machining and handwork involved while keeping the traditional look and feel of the Rush, Galvan kept costs down and passed that value to the customer, without giving up the quality that has been a hallmark of the Galvan tradition from day one. Built with the same inner components, technical features, and materials as the Torque Series, the Rush Light delivers top-of-the-line performance at a mid-line price. Whether you are pulling big rainbows in Alaska or playing goldens in the Sierra Nevada, it is a reel built to go the distance, and it is made in the USA.
