Achieve Industrial Precision and Rapid Penetration with Premium Diamond Turbo Segments
The Milwaukee 48-17-3045 Premium Grade Wet Core Bit is engineered for professional contractors who demand maximum speed and durability in the most challenging drilling environments. Featuring a 4.5-inch diameter and a full 15-inch cutting depth, this bit utilizes advanced V-shaped turbo segments to deliver a significantly faster cutting action through cured concrete. Whether you are tackling hard aggregate, masonry, or medium steel reinforcement, this bit is designed to maintain high performance without compromising its service life.
Built for industrial use with wet-drilling core rigs, this diamond-tipped bit features a 1-1/4"-7 threaded connection for a secure fit and maximum power transfer. The innovative threaded cap design allows for the easy addition of bit extensions, enabling you to reach through thick walls and foundations with ease. By optimizing the diamond bond for wet applications, Milwaukee ensures that this bit remains cool and clears debris efficiently, providing a smooth, precise finish for electrical, plumbing, or mechanical penetrations.
Key Features
- Turbocharged Cutting Action: Specialized V-shaped segments provide a faster initial bite and rapid material removal.
- Extended Service Life: Optimized diamond bond provides long-lasting performance in cured concrete and hard aggregate.
- Steel Reinforcement Ready: Engineered to slice through medium steel reinforcement (rebar) without stalling.
- Versatile Extensions: Threaded cap design allows for the quick attachment of extensions for deeper drilling needs.
- Wet Application Specialized: Designed specifically for use with water coolant to maximize segment life and finish quality.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Built to withstand the high torque requirements of professional core rig drills.

Pro-Tip: To maximize the life of your diamond segments, maintain constant water pressure throughout the cut to flush out slurry. If the bit begins to glaze over in extremely hard aggregate, briefly reduce water flow or drill into a soft abrasive material like a cinder block to "dress" the segments and expose fresh diamonds.
