Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can the Rich Solar Alpha 5 Pro battery be wired in series to create a higher voltage system?
A: No. The internal BMS is optimized for a 51.2V nominal base. You cannot connect these batteries in series. However, they fully support parallel configurations up to 15 units to achieve up to 76.8kWh of storage capacity.
Q: How does the Self-Heated version protect the battery in freezing temperatures?
A: Standard lithium batteries can suffer permanent damage if charged in freezing temperatures. The Self-Heated model features an internal 150W heater. When temperatures drop below 41°F (5°C), the integrated heater activates to warm the battery cells up to safe levels before initiating the charging phase, cutting off completely once reaching 50°F (10°C).
Q: What are the charging options for the Alpha 5 Pro?
A: It can be efficiently charged via three main pathways: dedicated LiFePO4 battery chargers (approx. 6 hours @ 20A), solar panel arrays paired with compatible solar charge controllers, or fuel-powered backup generators through a DC-DC battery charger wrapper interface.
Q: Can I monitor all my parallel batteries from a single screen?
A: Yes! Thanks to the synchronized network communications architecture, by configuring your battery dip switches, you can access the comprehensive parallel network sub-menu right from your main master battery touchscreen to check the stats of every cell string across the bank.
