Acclaimed actress/comedienne Whoopi Goldberg directs and appears in this feature documentary about Jackie "Moms" Mabley, an African-American stand-up comic and show-biz pioneer who emerged from the Chitlin' Circuit of African-American Vaudeville to become a mainstream star. Once billed as "The Funniest Woman in the World," Mabley pushed the boundaries of comedy by tackling topics such as gender, sex, and racism and performed up until her death in 1975.
Mabley's willingness to address taboo social topics earned her a reputation as daring and controversial. The film includes vintage clips and recordings of Mabley, as well as recent interviews with some of the world's top comedians, including Eddie Murphy, Joan Rivers, Kathy Griffin, Robert Klein, Bill Cosby, and Goldberg - each of whom is a huge Mabley fan. A true passion project for first-time director Goldberg, the documentary shows Mabley's historical significance and profound influence as a performer vastly ahead of her time.
Also features insights by Harry Belafonte, Professor Bambi Haggins, Arsenio Hall, Quincy Jones, Anne Meara, Billy Mitchell, Sidney Poitier, George Schlatter, Jerry Stiller.
This DVD contains bonus material of Moms Mabley on The Merv Griffin Show from August 18, 1969. The episode also features Woody Allen, Moms Mabley, Hedy Lamarr, Leslie Uggams. It is not the full episode – the segment with Ted Sorensen was edited out for time. The full episode is available separately from Rewatch Classic TV.

Great key board and worth the money

I have had this key board for over two years. Still works great with awesome battery life. The feel and design of the key board is great. Feels like I am typing on my MacBook Pro. Easy to par with multiple computers. Every once in a while it will become disconnected to my main computer and I will power off and on to reconnect. I have not had any other issues and would definitely purchase again.

Love this keyboard.

It's much like their more expensive model that comes with backlighting. I don't need the backlighting on this one because it's for the office so I'm never typing in the dark. I also like that it just uses regular batteries so between that and the lack of backlighting, the batter life is expected to be phenomenal. Clean looking keyboard and a pleasant typing experience.

This keyboard is perfect and exactly what I needed. I wanted a higher quality wireless keyboard for work and this one is that plus some. Keys are not too loud but also not silent. The keyboard itself is thin but not too thin and has weight to it. Also love the ability to connect to other computers with the press of a button. I have a PC for work and Mac for personal use, it switches fast and easy without fail. It’s a little more of an upfront cost compared to others available but it’s worth it truly. Plus the Logi brand itself has gained my trust as all of my other tools (headset, mouse, and webcam) are all Logi and have been excellent. If you’re on the fence due to the price, just purchase and know you’ll never have to buy another keyboard again.
