After the popular Aurora series, Sionyx now introduces the OPSIN.

The Sionyx OPSIN is a revolutionary ultra-low-light night vision camera capable of displaying full-color images at night—without the need for infrared illumination. As a result, you remain completely invisible to others. This compact night vision device is designed for hands-free use, effectively turning it into night vision goggles. It can also be used as a handheld device. With this product, you will receive a flip-up mount for helmet attachment and a battery pack. The Opsin delivers four times the performance of the Sionyx Aurora PRO.

What can I see?
With the Opsin, you can detect a person in the middle of the night at distances of up to 150 meters. The wide 44-degree field of view enhances your situational awareness. With a sensitivity of <1 millilux, you get a sharp image even in extremely low ambient light. This is made possible by Sionyx’s new patented Black Silicon CMOS sensor. It features a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels (60Hz). This sensor processes available ambient light—such as starlight or full moonlight—into clear, sharp full-color images. Sionyx cameras are the only night vision cameras on the market capable of providing full-color night vision. The Sionyx Opsin is equipped with a sharp AMOLED display (1920 x 1080 pixels). You can manually focus and adjust for your eyesight using the built-in diopter settings.

Never visible to others
Because these night vision goggles use an extremely light-sensitive sensor, the device does not require infrared illumination. Infrared illuminators work like a flashlight that is invisible to the human eye but visible to other night vision users. When IR is activated, your position immediately becomes visible to others. With the Opsin, you never have to worry about this. The night vision device also comes standard with an eyecup to prevent light leakage from the display.

Multi-functional use
Thanks to its IP67 certification, you can use the night vision device in the most extreme weather conditions. It is powered by the included battery pack, which contains four 18650 batteries, allowing up to 8 hours of operation. The advantage is that the battery pack can easily be mounted on the back of your helmet or headset. In addition, both the battery pack and the night vision goggles are equally lightweight (300 grams each), ensuring perfect balance. This makes the Opsin highly practical tactical night vision goggles suitable for hands-free use.

What useful features are available?
The Opsin offers many useful features, including GPS and a magnetic compass. It also includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows you to remotely control the night vision device with your smartphone or tablet via the free Sionyx app (iOS and Android). You can also live stream images so others can view them in real time with you. This is possible at distances of up to 15–30 meters, depending on obstacles. Of course, recording functionality is included. Photos and videos are stored on the included 32GB microSD card.

Sionyx Opsin Application
These high-end digital full-color night vision goggles are universally applicable but are primarily designed for hands-free, professional use. The combination of the device with the flip-up mount and battery pack makes it ideal for mounting on a helmet or headset. Popular applications include tactical use, airsoft, law enforcement, defense, and marine operations. For demanding users conducting general nature observation, the Sionyx Opsin is also an extremely suitable solution.

Great Value and Very Durable Plates
Color: Brown, Size: 10 in - 75 count
These plates are a great value for the price considering the quantity and the quality you get. Getting 75 plates at this price point is already a win, but the durability makes them even better. They’re biodegradable, which is a nice bonus, and they’re definitely not flimsy. These plates are stiff and sturdy — I can load them up with a pretty heavy plate of food and they still hold up without bending. They also do really well in the microwave, which makes them even more convenient for everyday use or parties. Overall, a really solid disposable plate option that’s durable, eco-friendly, and a great value.

A bit iffy on these plates
Color: Brown, Size: 9 in - 75 count, Color: Brown, Size: 9 in - 75 count
These plates are ok, but certainly not the best I've found. On the positive side, they are what I'd consider "Lunch Size" an are somewhat sturdy. They'll hold a sandwich and chips with little effort so, as a plate, they do... plate. Where I am a bit hesitant is in their molding an construction. You can see in my photos that there is significant staining/watermarking on the plates from the manufacturing process. This could be simply from the way the wet pulp was extruded and formed, but it honestly gives me a bit of the ick. Not that it's particularly gross, but it does make me wonder how sanitary the plates are or what binders might be leeching into my food. In my last photo, you can see a comparison to a compostable plate that I really like. The finish is cleaner and the mold included an inner ridge which gives the plate more stability - making it less likely to flex under weight. Both are sugar cane fiber plates and my preferred plate is a few dollars more expensive for a comparable pack, but the clean appearance and extra rigidity make it worth the added spend in my opinion. Ranking these 3-stars might lead some to think they're bad - and to be clear, I don't think they are. They're just adequate. If you're looking to save a few bucks on a compostable plate, these WILL get the job done. I would just shy away from using them with wet or acidic foods since they don't boast the highest quality of manufacture.

Strong Eco Friendly Plates But Not Great For Hot Food
Color: Brown, Size: 9 in - 75 count
I picked these up because I wanted something more environmentally friendly than the usual plastic or paper stuff. They are made from bamboo and bagasse, and you get a good amount in the pack for the price. For dry stuff like snacks or sandwiches, they are super sturdy and do not bend at all when you pick them up. However, they do not hold up very well when you put hot or wet food on them. Even though they are supposed to be heavy duty, I noticed they can get a little soft if the food is really steaming. They are still perfect for a quick lunch or a party where you want an easy cleanup, but you might want to double them up if you are serving something heavy and hot. The plates are big, and you get quite a bit, making it a really good value overall.

Heavy duty paper plates
Color: Brown, Size: 10 in - 75 count
These disposable plates are amazing. They're large enough to hold an entire Thanksgiving meal. They're sturdy and strong, and won't buckle even when supporting quite a lot of weight. They don't get soggy even when I deliberately poured water in them. The sides are built up to keep food from falling off the plate. These are everything you'd need in a disposable plate, and they're biodegradable, too! These are ideal for barbeques or outdoor entertaining, or even for everyday use in the kitchen.

Compostable Paper Plates
Color: Brown, Size: 9 in - 75 count
I ordered these because I like using paper plates and wanted to see if the compostable ones were strong enough for regular use. They're sturdier than regular paper plates due to the increased thickness of these. I've put heavy food on them like ribs and sides and they haven't bent under the weight. They feel more like pressed cardboard than paper and hold up through a full meal without getting soft. The brown color is a little utilitarian looking but that doesn't really matter for what they are. I guess I wouldn't use them for a party or something fun like that. They stack neatly and take up about the same space as regular paper plates.
