Marineland Magnum Polishing Internal Canister Filter

The Marineland Magnum Polishing Internal Canister Filter uses two refillable chambers to house carbon or customizable filter media. The Magnum PI Canister Filter is the most versatile filter Marineland has to offer. Choose from every day, continuous three stage filtration or high efficiency polishing with the included micron cartridge. The submerged motor means quick and easy start up, no priming necessary! The Marineland Magnum Polishing Internal Canister Filter filters 290 gallons per hour and is ideal for aquariums up to 97 gallons.


Three Stage Filtration and Water Polishing

Mechanical Filtration: The Rite-Size floss sleeve traps dirt and debris. For the best results, rinse or replace sleeve monthly.

Chemical Filtration: Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon removes odors, discoloration and water impurities. It is recommended that carbon is replaced monthly since carbon de-activates with use.

Biological Filtration: The dual-chamber design provides a large surface area of 153 square inches for the growth of Bio Spira, a beneficial bacterium that neutralizes ammonia and nitrites.

Water Polishing: The reusable pleated micron cartridge efficiently removes fine debris, leaving water crystal clear. The cartridge may be Charged with diatomaceous earth to further increase efficiency.


Set Up For Continuous 3 Stage Filtration

1. Place the foam gasket inside the canister and shake the canister body to properly orient the gasket. Set aside.

2. Locate the internal media container: If you wish to use alternate filter media than the included carbon, the media separator inside the container may be moved, to adjust the size of the two internal media chambers. To adjust the media separator position, unscrew both lids from the media container, and unsnap the two halves of the container. Reposition or remove the media separator, and snap the halves of the media container back together.

Both filters for the price of one.
This filter set for my 10th generation Honda Civic is an excellent value and fits perfectly. Before installing, I compared both the cabin and engine air filters to the originals to ensure proper sizing, and they matched exactly. Replacing the cabin air filter was very simple and straightforward. The engine air filter requires a bit more effort since you need to remove four screws to access the housing, but it is still an easy process. Once opened, you simply remove the old filter and place the new one inside. Both filters appear to be high quality and, in fact, looked better constructed than the ones I removed. I especially appreciate that this set includes both filters together, making it convenient to replace them at the same time. Recently, while at the dealership, I overheard a technician inform a customer that replacing her air filters would cost $90. Considering how simple the process is, that price felt excessive. This two pack is very reasonably priced, and I have paid nearly the same amount in the past for just one filter (not from the dealership but auto zone). These filters are well made, fit properly, and offer significant savings compared to dealership and ur local auto stores. I plan to continue purchasing this set for future replacements.
