ABOUT THE ART

This powerful screen-print echoes the unforgettable imagery of Banksy’s inflatable dinghy at "Glastonbury 2024". A crowded migrant boat, rendered in stark black and white, is held aloft by a mass of upraised festival arms, transforming the familiar ritual of crowdsurfing into a haunting symbol of displacement and shared responsibility. The only colour in the composition, vivid orange lifejackets, draws urgent attention to the plight of those at sea. Visually bold and politically charged, the print fuses protest, performance, and festival culture into a striking moment where art and activism collide.

Produced in the United Kingdom in 2025, this exclusive piece is a must-have for fans of Banksy and street art, capturing the essence of the Glastonbury festival and its surroundings with a touch of irony and creativity.

The artwork shows a group of migrants in a boat being carried across a sea of outstretched hands. As the headline band played on the stage, an inflatable vessel, filled with mannequin figures wearing lifejackets, was hoisted above the audience by thousands of festival-goers.

A new print quietly made its debut at one of the print shop stalls at "Glastonbury 2025".  Interestingly, design #9 wasn’t spotted on the wall initially, but later surfaced with a strict “1 poster per customer” rule attached.

The buzz built fast. As word spread and eager festival-goers rushed to snap one up, demand quickly outpaced supply. By the afternoon, a handwritten sign reading "REPRINTING COME BACK TOMORROW" was taped over the display, only adding to the mystery (and the hype).

By the festival’s final day, Banksy's latest print was sold out.

ARTIST BIO

Perhaps the most famous figure in street art working today, Banksy is known for urban interventions that demonstrate irreverent wit and a biting political edge. Enhancing his mystique by maintaining an anonymous identity, the artist has modified street signs, illegally printed his own currency, and illicitly hung his own work in the Louvre and the Museum of Modern Art.

He often uses spray paint and stencils in his critiques of consumerism, political authority, terrorism, and the status of art and its display. His street art, installations, and studio-produced works have been shown in Los Angeles, New York, London, Bethlehem, and beyond. His art has been subject to widespread interest on the secondary market and has fetched eight figures at auction.

A Total Sham-dy
What in the hell was this lunatic yammering about for all those 650 pages? What is the deal with his obession with noses, penises, and hobby-horses, hobby-horses, hobby-horses? Why does anyone consider it amusing when a writer keeps telling you he's going to get somewhere, but never does? Why is it entertaining at all to have blank chapters? Why is that cute? Why is that interesting? Who finds this funny? Who finds anything funny here at all? Why does this book of endless, mindless prattle, blabber, and piffle tickle anyone at all? Who finds digression to be enjoyable in literature? You? Why? Why? Tell me! I checked the ratings on Goodreads. This is what it showed: 5 stars: 33%, 4901 4 stars: 28%, 4064 3 stars: 22%, 3268 2 stars: 9%, 1414 1 star: 5%, 848 Meaning: 95% of these readers are flock-following, digression-loving, hobby-horse riding loonies who have swallowed the Kool-aid. There is nothing here but vacuous thundergunk. Pure, putrid unenertaining garbage. If I would have laughed once - just once - during the reading of this book, I would have given it a whole extra star, but it couldn't even do that. I give him one star for spelling Tristram's name right, and even then, it's a made-up name anyway, so I may have been hoodwinked as well.

Laurence Stern is still one of the most creative writers ever
This review is not about the words and images inside the book. This is about the fact that, when I removed the book from its packaging, the book's cover had too many creases and bends in it, both front and back, for my taste. Although I do think that Laurence Sterne might have smiled at my response, I don't think the creases were a type of samizdat (think Alexander Solzhenitsyn) added by a disgruntled/creative employee at Amazon. If this doesn't make any sense to you, or seems to be a silly mountain out of a molehill compliant, you will love the book.

A Few Thoughts on Tristram Shandy by Laurence Sterne
Shandy is an amazing book. More than anything it made me think of a late 1990s vibe with Seinfeld and David Foster Wallace. I can imagine the discourse that must have grown up around it. It I about memory and storytelling but also about nothing but also childbirth and siege warfare. I’m glad I read it; it was worth it even if it took a while.

Super white smile!
If you are looking to whiten and brighten your smile look no further. These are the best whitening strips on the market that do not require you to see a dentist. My teeth are so white and bright. I have sensitive teeth and these don’t seem to bother them either with recommended use. Highly recommend to everyone.
