Blending Disney nostalgia with Wyland’s celebrated marine-life imagery, 'Ariel’s Ocean Ride' transforms "The Little Mermaid" into a glowing underwater fantasy filled with tropical fish, coral formations, and luminous ocean blues. Ariel and Flounder drift through the center of the composition beneath a radiant shaft of light, surrounded by the vibrant reef life and aquatic atmosphere that made Wyland one of the most recognizable contemporary ocean artists of his era. The custom shell-shaped presentation gives the piece an especially dimensional and theatrical display presence, elevating it far beyond a standard Disney print.

Produced in 2005 as a limited edition fine art giclée on archival canvas, the work features rich color saturation and a distinctive crackled surface texture intentionally designed to emulate an original painted canvas. The piece is hand-signed and individually numbered by Wyland lower right from a limited edition of only 750 examples (low ed. number - #40/750), in addition to the artist’s printed signature within the image. Included with the artwork are the original Wyland Galleries Certificate of Authenticity and accompanying gallery paperwork.

Professionally custom framed in a dark tropical-style hardwood frame with deep navy linen matting, the presentation complements the underwater palette beautifully while enhancing the sculptural shell silhouette. The artwork displays impressively overall, with only minor cosmetic wear to portions of the frame molding and some light age-related fatigue to sections of the linen matting, as shown in the accompanying photos.
