Twenty-five years after Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton changed tone chasing forever, a now-classic amp-in-a-box style pedal was launched and set a new standard in transparent amp-like overdrive tones. From that original pedal, a modified, two-sided boutique OD would emerge over a decade later and change the hierarchy of guitar overdrive for good. The original pedals used by artists like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr, and John Petrucci are known to blend in with any rig, or transform clean tones into completely different tone stacks.
