These can be used on any size of our hitch racks, so anyone can run a fattie. If you’re looking for a heavy-duty fat tire bike rack, a VelociRAX hitch rack with fat tire baskets is the best for fat tire riding. With the ability to modify your VelociRAX for all seasons, nothing can stop you from getting out to ride!
Only use fat tire baskets with fat tire bikes– they will NOT work with standard mountain bike tires. Standard tire baskets can carry tire widths 3 inches and smaller.
Tech Tip: When strapping down fat tires, pre-stretch straps before you pull across the rim. In cold weather, rubber straps may be harder to stretch due to a decrease in elasticity.
