Perfect Storm is a sound-activated device that allows you to control the on and off flashing of lights when the thunder sound from the CD supplied is played. This makes for great thunderstorm effects for your haunted house or home haunt/Halloween party. Simply play the CD provided with the unit with your lights plugged into the back of the Perfect Storm Box (which can be plugged into any 15 amp. 120 volt outlet). Please note that total lights used should not exceed 1000 watts of power or a reset fuse in the back of the unti will trip. If this happens reduce lights used and hit reset button on back of unit. Besides using CD you can also place whatever sound effect you wish into your tape player MP3 player smart phone etc and either place one of your stereo speakers near or in front of the Perfect Storm unit or connect the player audio line out (the proper jack cable may be needed, and is not included) to the Perfect Storm audio input jack. Using either of these two ways, when thunder is heard, lights will flash in synchronized fashion. Includes CD with over one hour of sound effects, CD player not included. Power input 120v/60 hz. Uses type 15A fuse. AC jack and audio jack. Round sensor knob on front of unit is adjustable to make lights flash to your liking. The Perfect Storm will work with a variety of different types of lights in including both incandescent and LED. (Not recommended for flourescent lights). For indoor use only. Cute and tough!

This toy has been the subject of much squeaking and death shakes... And more than one tug o' war... And other than looking a little dingy even after washing it's as good as new! No missing bits, no noticeable damage. I have several in the brand, both the larger version for my mastiff, and other styles for the medium-sized dogs. I started buying online because the one store that carries it moved further away. Outshines all other brands I've tried for durability and fun play. In 5years and 9 dogs only 2 have needed replacement. Worth the price!!!

Great toy
Color: Black/Orange
This brand really makes durable toys. They outlast every other toy my dogs have. One dog loves to get the squeaker out of any toy, but he doesn’t rip this one apart. Obviously it won’t last forever, but no toy does! Some other brands of toys only make it a day or two, while these last months to years.

Great toy for two big German Shepherds

We only buy Tuffy dog toys now because we have one German Shepherd, and we often watch our daughter's GSD too, and the two dogs tear anything else apart in minutes. Tuffy toys are BY FAR superior to any other dog toy we have tried.
That being said, some Tuffy toys seem to last longer than others with the two dogs, and this one has been pretty good! We've had it for a few weeks now, and it's just now starting to show some white (stuffing) where their teeth have pierced the top of the toy.
That's pretty good, considering they play tug of war with it and can tear into toys pretty hard. If it were just our one dog, I think it would last a lot longer because it's the tug of war between the two of them that does them in faster.
Even so, when they do manage to tear the fabric in vulnerable places, I just pull the stuffing out from that area, and they continue to play with it, sometimes for months!
This one is better than some other Tuffy toys too because it has lots of areas where there is already more fabric and reinforced seams than stuffing, like all the legs on the side, the tail, and even the pincers. So far, they haven't been able to tear into those at all. Just a bit on the top of the head, and so far, no stuffing coming out yet.
This one is a big win for us! When they finally do do it in, I will turn around and buy another Scorch the Scorpion right away!
