ThoraxSling Patient Lifting Sling Extra Small

Users of the MiniLift 125, 160 or 200 Standing Aids will know what a helpful and secure set of devices they are for helping patients with weak legs and impaired balance. The ThoraxSling Patient Lifting Sling is the ideal accessory to use alongside the MiniLift, as it is easy for the caregiver to apply, while giving the user an added sense of comfort and security during rising and standing training.

Unique and Comfortable Experience

Every version of the MiniLift offers a completely unique and comfortable experience when it comes to helping patients up from a seated position. It gently guides the user to a natural pattern of movement as they rise from a seated position, and saves the caregiver the strain of manual lifting.

Features of the ThoraxSling Patient Lifting Sling

  • Easy for the caregiver to apply
  • Gives the user an added sense of security
  • Facilitates hassle-free toileting
  • Does not ride up under the arms
  • Alternative lift loops enable an upright posture
  • Armholders for hemiplegic users

No Riding Up

Together with the MiniLift, the ThoraxSling provides a very gentle and smooth sit-to-stand experience for users. The movement of the lift arm is designed so that the pulling motion ends comfortably in the lower back, which prevents the sling from riding up under the arms.

Care Instructions for the ThoraxSling

The ThoraxSling Patient Lifting Sling is made from low-friction polyester that can be machine washed at 60 - 85°C. Do not use rinsing agent. To ensure maximum service life of your sling, hang dry or tumble-dry on a low heat.

inexpensive usb3.1 gen 2 hub with PD
This USB3.1 gen 2 hub is well made, featuring VIA Labs controller (device id 2109:2822) and is made in China. It looks nice and performs according to the specs. I wish usb-c socket supported TB3/Alt DP cable to connect a display to it, but it is apparently made mainly for power delivery. I think the hub is a good value.

Do you need a powered hub instead?
NOT powered. My bad, I didn't look closely enough. I need a powered hub.

premium feel in the hand.
Can't really say whether it's that good or not elecronics wise since I didn't test it but it works like it's supposed to. Meanwhile, the housing oh man. It's premium. It feels like hard aluminum or something, very nice. Edges are rounded too with just the right sharpness like a macbook. Others would've been plastic. This is really nice for the price and if the specs really are 10Gbps, that's really good because most in this price range is 5Gbps.

Failed to support desktop PCs with USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports
Does not work with my HP mini PC with USB 3.2 gen 2 ports - when connecting USB portable SSDs to the hub. You won't believe it, but many USB 3.2 Gen 2 hubs only support laptops not desktop PCs (except hubs that have dedicated power supply for higher power USB devices e.g. SSD/HDDs) when connecting USB portable SSDs to the hub. We need a major fix from many of the USB hub vendors so these products can work with desktop PCs that have USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Workaround: Just directly connect the USB portable SSD to the PC instead. If you need more USB ports, pick up a good old USB 3.0 hub. They're working correctly with portable USB SSDs when working with desktop PCs. (You'd need a powered USB hub if you're connecting 2 or more portable SSDs - do your own calculation: 5V - 1A per SSD/HDD).
