The OEM housing is also considered to be "disposable", meaning it's designed for a single usage. If it has to be removed, it must be replaced. The flanges bend under the load of the bolts. We have experienced that in addition to the stock thermostat housing having corrosion concerns, the stock steel mounting bolts also are susceptible to excessive corrosion. Gasket and replacement bolts included.
