Maximize Torque and Speed: GearWrench 17-Piece XL GearBox Metric Double Box Ratcheting Wrench Set

Tackle the most stubborn, rusted fasteners with the leverage and speed of the GearWrench 85989 17-Piece XL GearBox™ Double Box Ratcheting Wrench Set. This professional metric collection features an Extra-Long (XL) beam design that provides significantly more reach and leverage than standard pattern wrenches. Each wrench is designed with a "Double Box" configuration: one end features a standard, non-ratcheting box end with a 0° offset for breaking loose seized bolts, while the other end houses a precision ratcheting mechanism to rapidly tighten or loosen the fastener once it is free.

Engineered for tight clearances, the 72-tooth ratcheting box end requires as little as 5 degrees of swing arc to move a fastener, compared to the 30 degrees required by standard wrenches. Both ends utilize GearWrench's Surface Drive™ technology (Off-Corner Loading), which directs force to the flats of the fastener rather than the corners, reducing the risk of rounding off bolt heads while delivering superior grip. Manufactured from premium alloy steel with a bright, full-polish chrome finish, this set offers exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and easy cleanup for a lifetime of hard work.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Extra-Long Beam: XL design provides superior leverage for high-torque applications and deeper reach into engine bays.
  • 72-Tooth Mechanism: Delivers a tight 5° swing arc, allowing for efficient work in confined spaces where movement is limited.
  • Double Box Design: Combines a high-torque standard box end for breaking bolts with a high-speed ratcheting box end for removal.
  • Off-Corner Loading: 12-point design grips the flats of the fastener to prevent rounding and increase torque transfer.
  • 0° Offset: The non-ratcheting end features a zero-degree offset for direct power transfer on stubborn fasteners.
  • Easy Identification: Sizes are hard-stamped on both ends of the beam for quick recognition in a busy toolbox.
  • Professional Finish: Full polish chrome resists rust and wipes clean of oil and grease instantly.

Pro-Tip: The "GearBox" design is specifically intended to save your ratcheting mechanism. Always use the static (non-ratcheting) end to "break" the initial tension on a frozen or rusted bolt. Once the fastener turns freely, flip the wrench over to the ratcheting end to quickly spin it off. This technique maximizes the lifespan of your tool.

and I found two cases that were no longer good law (even though this is the new edition)
This is a required text for Internet Law classes. It is edited very poorly. There are typos on every other page, and I found two cases that were no longer good law (even though this is the new edition).

Bad book for SOA exam, but oh well.
Format: Paperback
While required by Society of Actuaries as the textbook for Short Term Actuarial Models exam, I could not recommend this textbook for any other purposes. Written by two Canadian actuaries, a lot of terms and explanations used in this textbook cannot be transferred into US P&C insurance. It fails to explains insurance's purpose and products effectively and as an intro book with unnecessary sentences to deliver personal thoughts. It is also a mess in following sections on ratemaking and reserving. I cannot sense a flow from this book that guides readers in an approachable manner. Overall, author compromises the size AND the quality.
