Spurgeon’s Forgotten Sabbatarianism seeks to document Charles Spurgeon’s teaching and practice on the Christian Sabbath. By looking at his biography through his Sunday activities, the reader will see how Spurgeon believed Sabbath observance required laboring for the Lord through worship, preaching, singing, evangelism, Sunday School ministry, and private devotion. Furthermore, the book shows Spurgeon’s adherence to the Second London Confession of Faith’s articles on the law of God and the Christian Sabbath. He held to the tripartite division of the law and taught all men to obey the moral law which includes the 4th commandment. Rather than seeing the Sabbath as a legalistic burden, he encouraged Christians to observe it with joy while looking with eyes of faith to the eternal Sabbath to come.

______________

Brandon Rhea is a pastor, Ph.D. student in Historical Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, and an ACBC certified Biblical counselor. He met his wife, Karies, while doing pulpit supply in 2013-14. In April 2016, he accepted the call to pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri. He loves history and has a heart for street preaching and evangelism.

______________

Spurgeon was known as “The Prince of Preachers” and sometimes as “The Last of the Puritans.” As such, he held to the Puritan view of the Christian Sabbath as “The Market Day of the Soul.” Dr. Rhea has done a splendid job of presenting Spurgeon’s view on the subject, much of it in Spurgeon’s own words. He shows a remarkable knowledge of Spurgeon’s vast writings as well as the literature about him on this subject, some of it not well known. The book will be of interest both to fans of Spurgeon and those interested in the whole subject of the Christian Sabbath among Reformed Baptists.’ Dr. Curt Daniel, Pastor, Faith Bible Church, Springfield, Illinois, Professor, Grace Bible Theological Seminary

As an SLP I love this simple engaging book
Format: Board book
Speech path here. I love this book. It was one of my son’s favorites and what I used to help him produce more words from 1-2years. He was my slowest to talk but loved the engaging sounds in this book. It’s simple but you can add a lot of info or new comments each time you read it with encouragement for your kiddo to produce simple early developing sounds. I utilized pausing with it too to tie my son the chance to produce the sounds. I gift it often now! Just wish it was a tadddd cheaper.

My one-year-old granddaughter loves this little book. There's no story, but it's interactive and fun, and the illustrations are cute and colorful. She enjoys doing all the things on the pages - knocking, waving, blowing, etc.

Great interactive book for Littles
Format: Board book
This book is so cute and very interacting. Some of the pages are a little confusing on how we are supposed to react, but overall it’s a great book. The beginning has some instructions and tips to help your little speak so that is very helpful.
