It gets this from the three main naturally occurring unsaturated fatty acids (all omega-9s) that work on hair, skin and scalp. This makes it resistant to oxidation even at extremely high temperatures. It easily protects hair from high heat (Blow Drying, Curling Irons exc.). This is also how it controls moisture and protects skin and hair from losing too much moisture in low humidity conditions (winter, hospitals, airplanes) and prevents frizz and acne in high humidity. There are also unique characteristics of each individual Omega-9 fatty acid. The high percentage (59.5%) of Erucic acid found in Julia's Essentials 100% Abyssinian Oil has a comedogenic rating of 0 which means it won't clog pores making it suitable for all skin types.
