The drive coupling can be tested for slipping torque while mounted on the alternator (meaning that the drive coupling does not need to be removed to be tested.) This tool will reach past the castle nut and cotter pin to engage the teeth of the hub gear. The gear engagement pins are welded and hardened for high positional accuracy ensuring the alternator gear teeth will not be damaged. This tools is built from high grade materials and will last for thousands of test cycles without the engagement pins bending or becoming misaligned. The torque socket is a 3/8 drive.
