The evening turmeric — golden cup with chamomile and lavender, the wind-down counterpart to a daytime golden glow.
Most turmeric blends are wired for the morning — turmeric, ginger, black pepper, lemongrass, the warming spice cup that pairs with a daytime ritual. This blend takes the same golden base and runs it through evening herbs instead. Chamomile and lavender soften the spice; lemon balm grounds the cup with a soft, slightly green leaf; a thread of licorice root fills out the natural sweetness.
The cup ends up calmer than its golden cousin — the turmeric earthiness is still there, but it sits under a gentler, floral profile rather than over a peppery one. Caffeine-free, made for the after-dinner couch rather than the morning desk.

Tasting Notes
Floral Earthy Top
Aroma
Chamomile and lavender arrive first — soft, slightly honeyed, faintly floral. Behind them sits the earthier, slightly woody scent of turmeric root.
Round Golden Body
Body
The cup brews deep golden, with the turmeric carrying the weight underneath while the chamomile and lemon balm round the middle. Less peppery than a daytime golden cup, more floral than a plain chamomile.
Sweet Soft Finish
Aftertaste
Closes naturally sweet from the licorice root — no sugar required. The cup ends warm and rounded rather than spicy or sharp, the kind of finish that suits a quiet hour.
How to Brew
Measure
One heaped teaspoon (about 2–3g) per 8oz cup. The cut is mixed root-and-flower — stir before scooping.
Heat the Water
Bring water to a full boil — 100°C / 212°F. Roots and flowers both want real heat to release.
Steep 5–7 Minutes
Cover the cup. Five for softer turmeric, seven for full body. Won’t go bitter — chamomile and licorice are forgiving on time.

Per Cup
1 heaped tsp
Add a splash of warm milk (dairy or oat) for an evening golden milk that drinks like dessert without the sugar. A sliver of fresh ginger crushed in adds depth if you want a little more warmth.
About the Tea
Turmeric Root
The Heart
Cut turmeric root pieces — the dried rhizome of Curcuma longa. Real root, brewed properly, brings the deep golden colour and the soft earthy body that defines a turmeric cup.
Chamomile & Lavender
The Calm
Whole chamomile flower heads and cut lavender flowers — the classic European apothecary duo. They turn the turmeric base from a daytime spice cup into an evening floral cup.
Lemon Balm & Licorice
The Round
Lemon balm grounds the cup with a soft, slightly citrus-green leaf; a thread of licorice root adds natural sweetness without sugar. A small accent of ginger keeps the warmth in the middle.
In the tin
Turmeric root, chamomile flowers, lemon balm, lavender, licorice root, ginger root.
Origin & Sourcing
Built around cut turmeric root — the same golden base used in daytime turmeric blends — but supported by chamomile, lavender and lemon balm rather than the usual ginger-and-black-pepper cast. Naturally sweetened with licorice root, caffeine-free, blended in small batches for the Sampson shelf.
