The entire piece has been treated with a patina which turns the copper a turquoise color and the steel a deep rusty red.
The upright support is welded to an "I-beam" shaped base which has been uniquely designed to allow the piece to stand securely upright and about 6 feet tall once "planted" into the ground approximately 8 -10 inches deep.
The 'feeder' portion consists of a perforated aluminum steel screen designed to hold bird seed a safe distance off the ground. Shielded to a degree from rain, wind, and sun - the screen allows for rapid drainage of any water, and will never rust through.
Once 'planted' into the soil, the design allows for the roots of surface vegetation to reach through and firmly anchor the piece into the ground..

Good for beginners

Decent if not a little shallow overview but full of typos
Format: Hardcover
Purchased thos book to consider passing to an employee eyeing a promotion. The information is ok to get the broad level concepts across for someone who has no thought about these concepts at all.
However. Man. This book is riddled with more typos than my 2am half drunk reddit posts. Words that are missing spaces between them, phrases that change tense or intent of where the sentence was going to go ... It's pretty drole reading in general and the distractions do not help!
