‘As cult as a Basil Kirchin, as screwed as a Kid 606 and as folky as Woody Guthrie, this weird, masterful album will confound your expectations at every turn’ – Dazed & Confused, album of the month

‘it’s charismatic, coherent and up there with more-publicised albums as one of the best of the year.’  The Telegraph

‘makes Gorillaz look like Shed Seven. Inspired.’ – 4.5 / 5 The Fly

‘From full-on indie-rock anthem Romo Goth, to the early Beasties rap tribute of Forty Dollar Rug via Origin Of Love’s lounge piano ballad with a seductive hint of Steppenwolf, this is one walk on the musical wild side which won’t leave you wishing you’d worn more appropriate footwear.’ – 4/5 Mojo

‘…sounds like Radiohead remixed by Fourtet’. – The Guardian

‘As the folk and the electrics clamour over each other for attention, genres collide and collude in a quietly breathtaking display that will make perfect sense to ernest young headphone wearers everywhere.’ – 4/5 Independent On Sunday

‘Department of Eagles are the dynamic duo of Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus. Hailing from Brooklyn NYC, the pair create a riotous mishmash of Radiohead, the Beta Band and Dangermouse, and weld it all together with a sense of fun and joie de vivre.’ – 4.5/5 DJ

‘The Cold Nose is the work of two irreverent Brooklyn boys, Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus, whose dual regard for sad eyed rock and sample strewn mayhem renders this a companion piece for two contrasting albums – Kid A and The Avalanches ‘Since I Left You.’  Uncut

‘Eclectic is an overused term but The Cold Nose is one of those dizzying records that defies categorisation in the best sense’ – 4/5 Metro

‘Fusing rock and electronics seamlessly, The Cold Nose comes across like an excellent mix-tape, lurching from hip hop to tender ballads, but never straying from a cohesive excellence.’ – Music Week

‘Surprisingly enjoyable leftfield hip hop/ lo-fi rock crossover album that produced by the guy behind The Killers.’ – 8/10 Vice

‘It’s Nick Drake meets Ninja Tune string-scrapes held together by great songs and clever use of samples with each tune going least where you expect it.’ Mixmag

‘Inventive and darkly beautiful, this New York twosome toy with every genre, from wistful indie romance to haunting beats and samples Portishead would die for…’ – 5/5 Notion

‘…repeated listens reveal this as a quietly delirious little gem.’ – Plan B

Oh yes, showing off time – a reminder of the brilliant The Cold Nose album released at the end of last year. Department Of Eagles are a pair of 23-year olds who conduct their operations from Brooklyn, NYC. Once-roommates and college pals Daniel Rossen (vocals and guitars) and Fred Nicolaus (beats and samples) are the dynamic duo and have been pouring together ideas for years now . Romo-Goth / Sailing By Night is the first single to be taken from the album and features remixes from Tunng (Mike from Tunng explains, ‘i loved the song , it gave me that shivery feeling… and i love the fact that it kinda had 2 distincts parts to it… in my version i wanted to blend those parts more taking the last melody and replaying it on clarenette and banjo to give it a more campfire vibe….’) and Daedelus (‘Department of Eagles to me is a musical singularity in the sense that they mix effortless melody and chaotic arrangement, all the danger of giving the kids the keys to the candy store with none of the stomach ache. So for my remix of “Sailing By Night” I’ve endeavoured to just stay out of the way and tease the taffy (so to speak) to a messiness unprecedented.’).

Great shorts but that tag...
I would give these shorts 5 stars if I wasn't insulted by the tag. They're durable, lightweight, comfortable, and they fit perfectly. I've had them for more than a year and they still look and feel like brand new. I bought two pairs but I will never buy anything from this vendor again. The size I ordered was 2x. Look at the tag. Way to go guys. Thanks for instilling confidence and buffing my self esteem. Hey Amazon, I went back to add something and you chopped me in half. I went from 6 foot tall to 3 and it won't let me fix that. Please take care of this error.

Great for Camping
I bought these for my kids to use when camping. They loved them. They are very lightweight and comfortable. They dry quickly also. Sizes are strange. Ordered a 32-34 on one of them and it said 3X on the tag, but they did fit like the proper size. My kids liked the zippers on them also. Good price too.

Not bad for mountain biking.
Although these are not categorized as mountain biking shorts, I bought them specifically for that purpose when riding on hot summer days. It is a well-made apparel with high quality material and accurate sizing. I've worn it on countless rides and has held up very well. Despite the number of wash cycles these have gone through it hasn't shrunk, faded or ripped. It still looks and feel as it did when new. Overall, I’m satisfied with these shorts and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for mountain biking or any other outdoor sports you may be into.

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
Color: Green/Black
I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days. The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT). I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch. So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time. Have Fun! Jimmy

Excellent value, flawless performance for well over a year and no signs of quitting.
Color: Green/Black
Excellent value, had this for well over a year and it still keeps perfect time, still water resistant. No worries about having to change batteries. Owned a fancy expensive (battery) watch once and the dept. store repair intentionally sabotaged the watch in the hopes I would purchase another from them. Yeah, good luck with that, lost my business forever. This is the 21st century, cell phones are the new time pieces, but solar is totally reliable and Timex makes it happen. Holds a charge for many months, although I prop it in a bright window for a few days every few months or so just to make sure the cells are always fully charged, although it's probably unnecessary, just being over cautious. I haven't actually experienced this watch ever running out of power even after months of use. Damn impressive, as it should be.
