ased on the experimental VK3.02 ammunition carrier chassis, the Pz.Sfl.Ia was an early German attempt to create a compact, mobile anti-tank platform. Armed with the 5cm PaK38 gun mounted on the small tracked vehicle, it was intended as a fast, lightly armored tank destroyer. Only two prototypes were built in 1942, and the design never progressed into production, but it remains a fascinating example of interwar German armored experimentation.
Das Werk’s 1/35 scale kit faithfully captures the unusual open-topped layout, complete with finely detailed suspension, gun assembly, and fighting compartment. The 5cm PaK38 is rendered with precision, including the muzzle brake, breech, and gun shield. Tracks are link-and-length style for ease of assembly while maintaining a realistic appearance. With careful moulding and accurate proportions, this release offers modelers the opportunity to build a rarely-seen prototype vehicle that bridges the gap between ammunition carriers and early self-propelled guns.
