Kirk & Sweeney XO Rum (750ml)Kirk & Sweeney XO Rum is a rich, oak driven Dominican rum made from traditionally distilled sugarcane molasses and aged in American oak barrels before blending into a deeper, more mature XO expression. Named after a Prohibition era rum running schooner, the style here leans full bodied and dessert toned while still maintaining balance and structure. The nose opens with aromas of toffee, vanilla bean, caramelized sugar, roasted nuts, and baking spice
Kirk & Sweeney XO Rum is a rich, oak-driven Dominican rum made from traditionally distilled sugarcane molasses and aged in American oak barrels before blending into a deeper, more mature XO expression. Named after a Prohibition-era rum-running schooner, the style here leans full-bodied and dessert-toned while still maintaining balance and structure.
The nose opens with aromas of toffee, vanilla bean, caramelized sugar, roasted nuts, and baking spice alongside darker notes of espresso and cocoa. On the palate, it’s smooth and layered, showing flavors of brown sugar, dried fruit, molasses, toasted oak, and dark chocolate with a warm, lingering finish.
This is an easy sipping rum for fans of richer aged spirits, whether enjoyed neat, over a large cube, or alongside a cigar. Its round texture and sweeter profile also make it approachable for whiskey drinkers exploring premium aged rum for the first time.
