"Uproar in Heaven", is a Chinese animation produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio. The story is an adaptation of the earlier episodes of the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West, which is about the main character Sun Wukong(Monkey King), who rebels against the Jade Emperor of heaven. The stylized animation is heavily influenced by Peking opera stage art, including accompaniment, character, environmental design, movement reference and the beautiful rich color palette. The movie was shown at the Locarno Film Festival in 1965 and received numerous awards, as well as wide praise and recognition.

It’s not surprising that Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, turns out to be one of the most popular legendary figures among children and adults in Chinese-speaking countries. Sun Wukong is best known for his supernatural power, his superpower of countless transformations, all of which makes him invincible even when in the face of celestial warriors. This micro-sized block set for ages 10 and up recreates one of Monkey King transformation - ZhuangYuan, a scholar who achieved first place in the Imperial Civil Service Examinations in ancient China.
