Coming in at 1540g (158cm) the Blaze 94 is competitve with many backcountry skis on the market, yet the performance is steps above. Volkl have achieved this with some impressive engineering in the core of the ski. Elastic TPU and recycled PET are blended into the core to give it impressive shock absorption at such a light weight.

The Blaze 94 sports Volkl's 4 Radius Drive, blending 4 distinct radii into the sidecut of the ski. This allows Volkl to fine tune each skis willingness to make different turn shapes. The extra radii, when compared to Volkl's 3D is right at the tip, giving the ski early engagement and allowing other radii to be lengthened for more stability. 

The 4 Radius Drive in the Blaze combines for two valuable feelings. Firstly it gives it grip and energy on piste, but more importantly it allows it to track effortlessly through choppy and variable snow without any feeling of hookiness.
