ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Seven stories about social, family, and financial submission in everyday life, written by Carmen Martín Gaite, one of the most important figures in Spanish literature in the twentieth century.

"The real ties are the ones you choose, the ones you seek, and the ones you put on yourself, which you could have not."

Besides the primary story that gives this work its name, Carmen Martín Gaite's book of the same name includes six other tales that explore conflicts of identity, as well as complexities in human relations, specially from a female perspective in mid-twentieth-century Spain. These short stories offer a deep and psychological perspective of emotional and social ties, seen through the author's narrative mastery to "dive into her female characters" and explore topics like freedom, identity, and isolation.

Nice shoes!
Size: 11, Color: Black Full Grain
I bought them in black and I like them so much I will be buying the brown soon. They fit true to size and are comfortable and stylish. I like the clean simplicity. They're basically a dressy sneaker which is perfect for my job's 'dress code'. Yet they're stylish enough to be worn weekends or a night out. They seemed just a touch stiff out of the box but IMO that's completely normal and fine - after just a couple days of wearing them they are breaking in nicely. No complaints on that. They seem to be of very high quality and I'm very happy with them.
