This mat was originally woven in Central Anatolia, Turkey up to 60 years ago and is perfect for use in entry ways, in front of the sink in the kitchen or beside a bed etc. This Vintage "Antique -Look" rug was originally very strongly colored, but has been carefully handwashed and sun faded and the long pile carefully shaved to produce the softer, Muted / Distressed “Vintage" appearance so popular for interior home decoration at this time.
