“It is a pleasure heartily to commend this latest jewel of a book in the Profiles in Reformed Spirituality series. The name Robert Murray M’Cheyne is fragrant to anyone who knows his life and anything of his writings. If any two themes dominated M’Cheyne’s preaching and writing, they were holiness of life and love to Christ. This fine compendium of extracts from M’Cheyne’s writings will instruct, inspire, humble and reorient the mind and heart of everyone who reads them. The power of M’Cheyne’s preaching and writing lay in the holiness of the life he lived. This is a book that can be commended without any hesitation.” Ian Hamilton, professor historical and systematic theology, Westminster Presbyterian Theological Seminary
