Knit the Petite Knit Storm Sweater with Karen!

The Storm Sweater by Petite Knit is the perfect option for a confident beginner or intermediate knitter who wants to cast on an engaging project!
The sweater is knit top down, with short rows at the shoulders for a relaxed, comfortable fit. The all-over texture keeps this project fun from beginning to end, resulting in a classic heirloom piece that you’ll love wearing for many years to come.
The Storm Sweater has just enough new techniques to help you challenge yourself, without a big barrier to entry – all the texture is just knits and purls!
*Note: The large break in class weeks is to allow for space for those who are traveling during the holiday, as well as to give you plenty of time to knit!
What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): Basic knitting skills, including knitting, purling, knitting in the round in small circumference, and picking up stitches
What you'll learn in this class: German Short Rows, how to read a pattern chart, top down construction beginning in the back yoke, and getting gauge to ensure your sweater fits!
Required Materials:

Yarn: 1274 to 1862 yards of DK or light worsted weight yarn
Recommended yarns from the shop: Malabrigo Rios, West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Bluefaced Leicester, Kathmandu DK, Muse & Method The Go-To, Juniper Moon Farms Rambouillet
Needles:
- US 6 circulars (16" to 40" for working both neck and body)
- US 4 circulars (16" to 40" for working both neck and body)
- US 4 DPNs OR small circulars for cuffs
Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch holder cord or scrap yarn for holding stitches
