I loved designing this Birman place mat here by hand in my small UK based studio — the Birman is one of my first and most beloved cat designs, that beautiful long fur and those striking blue eyes make them a joy to illustrate. My place mats are all made here in the UK, in small sustainable quantities, sturdy mats, made from thick eucalyptus hardboard and cork backed (for no slippage!) with a glossy melamine finish, which is heat and stain resistant. Wipe clean with a damp cloth — practical as well as beautiful!
